DEE KINCADE

                MY BLOG

Welcome to my new website and blog

8/29/2014

Hi, my name is Dee.

I love writing and have written two novels and working on two more. My first novel is safely buried, hidden from the world. It is the typical “first book” and a source of my never ending embarrassment, should it ever be unearthed and thrust into public view.

My second book is a Young Adult Christian fantasy. As it gets closer to the publish date, I will be sharing more about the book and its characters. Let’s just say that it is not about vampires or werewolves, but rather an ancient malice that, of course, desires to take over the world. Then, throw in equally ancient but virtuous defenders, who were put on this Earth to protect the humans. Add a forbidden romance and supernatural fight scenes and you have what I think is an exciting story.

I enjoy reading several genres, mystery, fantasy, science fiction, and romance. But fantasy is my favorite to write. It’s fun and takes a lot of imagination to develop a new world; from the characters, government, plants, animals, to their society and beliefs. My second book is set on Earth. Humans, along with the animals and plants are the same as we have value. However, there are differences between humans and my characters that can’t be seen with the human eye.

I try to make my characters feel the same emotions as normal humans do.

What is your favorite genre and why?
